“The transport specific report outlines a number of ideas that people can consider, including ‘high street pedestrianisation’ as a potential future transport intervention.
“This is a possible transport intervention where a number of options have been discussed including traffic calming, lane reductions, sidewalk widening, time limits, general traffic restrictions. Only bus and taxi routes and full walking.”

Cllr Costigan added that an old bid had been submitted to Transport for London for a “viable neighbourhood” for Ealing city centre, which included plans to improve the pedestrian experience in West Ealing city center and Ealing Broadway city centre.
She continued: “Central Ealing is not on the table. It’s not in any of our plans, it’s not in our manifesto. This is not something TfL has ever agreed to before.
“We have now consulted on travel on our Ealing charter, which means that what we are doing now is We are going to local people and asking them for their opinions. and what they have in mind in the local area and work with them to Join us in creating plans and interventions that will make a difference to air quality and mobility in our neighborhoods.”
